Jeff Goldsmith is an award winning film composer, sound designer, musician, and engineer. His music combines heavy electronics and synthesis with treated samples and acoustic instrumentation for moving effect. His music has been described as, “an evocative mix of alternative, dark ambient and auditory narrative soundscape.” He has scored films in a variety of genres, however his core focus is on the horror/thriller genre.
In addition to scoring films, Jeff has also released a number of albums independently. This includes the industrial leaning albums, “May You Find the Light Before the Devil Know’s He’s Right” and “Vodu”. He has also collaborated with a number of contemporary artists including Sparta, on their 2022 album, “Sparta”.
When he isn’t composing, Jeff loves practicing yoga, watching live music, and traveling. He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with his wife Amy and their beloved rescue dog, Eddie.
